Hành tây bóc vỏ, băm nhỏ. Lá bạc hà và ớt rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ.
Cho vào tô 3 muỗng canh đường, 3 muỗng canh nước cốt chanh, 1/2 chỗ hành tây băm, 1 muỗng canh nước mắm và 2 muỗng canh nước tương, trộn đều tất cả làm nước sốt.
Cho vào tô khác gồm thịt bò, hành tây băm còn lại, 1 muỗng cà phê nước mắm, 1 muỗng cà phê đường, 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, 1/4 muỗng cà phê tiêu, bạc hà và ớt rồi trộn đều, để yên khoảng 30 phút.
Tiếp đến, đập dập nhẹ thịt bò, cho nguyên liệu ướp vào bên trong từng lát thịt và cuộn lại. Lấy lá quế cuộn bên ngoài rồi dùng que xiên qua để cố định cuốn thịt. Làm lần lượt đến hết nguyên liệu.
Phết đều dầu ăn lên khay nướng để chống dính rồi đặt các que thịt lên nướng chín đều các mặt là có thể thưởng thức với nước sốt đã pha sẵn.
